February has been a really productive month for me. I’m now 56% done with my goodreads challenge. 56%!! I feel like even if I slow down at some point that I’m still going to make my 55 books for the year. Last year I wasn’t sure I’d even come close.
This month I’ve read these 19 books:
A Study in Charlotte
My Ladybird Story
And The Trees Crept In
Scooby Apocalypse Vol. 1
The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl: Squirrel Meets World
As Red As Blood
Miranda and Caliban
Rey’s Survival Guide
Marie Antoinette, Serial Killer
Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Vol. 1
Fitzwilliam Darcy, Rock Star
Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Vol. 2
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Prelude #1
Number of galleys read: 6
Number of books read that I already own: 3
Number of library books: 4
Number of books borrowed from friends: 1
Only three towards my reading books I own challenge but last year my average was 3-4 books a month so that’s not too terrible.
I’m actually surprised I’ve read so much. My daughter started cutting her first molars this month and she’s been having a real tough time with it. Yesterday she was screaming non stop for a good hour and half until I picked up the Beauty and the Beast dvd case. Then she quieted immediately and sat down. We watched it twice in a row. Getting her to eat is the hardest thing, because her little mouth hurts so she doesn’t really have much of an interest in eating anything. Not a lot of sleep because of that this month so maybe that’s where all this extra reading got done.
March should be good, I don’t really have any plans for March other than letting my youngest sister borrow my car for her driver’s test. Other than that I’m not sure what I’m doing in March. After this month I’m real curious how many books I’ll manage to read in March. I’ve currently got three library books checked out so I’m hoping to at least finish those before I need to return them. I think I might like to try to tackle one of my longer books that I own in March. I’ve got a couple really thick books I’ve been putting off. Since I’m so ahead right now I think trying to read one of those is a solid strategy.
This month I also signed up with Amazon affiliates and have started added Amazon affiliate links at the bottom of my reviews. I don’t have a job and I haven’t been able to really find a good way for me to add any money to our income. I’m not sure if this will end up helping out any or not but I figure it couldn’t hurt to try. Worst that could happen is no one uses it. So I’m trying it out and seeing how it goes.
